What to learn from Lord Hanuman

Ram Bhakt Hanuman is one of the important characters of Ramayana. Ramayana is incomplete without Hanuman Ji and we can’t imagine Ramayana without him.  We can say that Hanuman Ji is like a superhero who removes all the troubles of his devotees in a jiffy.

He had so much power that he once swallowed even the Sun. Hanuman Ji is an ultimate devotee, friend and faithful companion. Despite being so strong, powerful, and intelligent, he is far from ego. We worship him in the form of God, we can learn a lot from the life of Hanuman Ji to make our life successful.

Let us learn these qualities from Hanuman Ji to make our life better.

Dream big:

When Hanuman decided to eat the Sun as a mango, everyone was surprised because it was an impossible act. But he also made this work possible. Of course, this is an event that needs special powers. But the biggest lesson is that when Hanuman Ji thought of this, he also did not know about his power. As a child, he had a big dream and wanted to fulfil it, which he did.

We need such a vision to be successful. Dream big and give your hundred per cent to fulfil them.

(Here LESSONS I LEARNED IN ONE YEAR OF BLOGGING I explained how I made my dream of writing blogs come true.)

Know your potential:

There is an incident in Ramayana when Hanuman Ji was finding him unable to cross the ocean, then Jamwant said this to Hanuman Ji, 'Ka chup sadhi Raha balwana.' That is, hey Hanuman, you are very strong, why have you kept silent. This was the moment when Hanuman Ji had crossed the ocean after realizing his inner power.

Exactly this happens with us too, we often underestimate ourselves. Compare our skills with others. But we also have the same potential that others have. So always believe in yourself.

If you do good for others, it will come back in unexpected ways

Whatever we do, it comes back to us. We get an example of this in Ramayana. Hanuman Ji gets a deep injury which also gets cured. Not only this, all the gods and goddesses come to bless him. He gets powers and blessings from everyone in the boon.

This incident tells us that if you do good deeds in life, good things happen to you.

Act without being selfish

Hanuman Ji had accepted Lord Rama as his guru. From taking Lord Rama to Lanka to Ayodhya, Hanuman remained selfless every time. It was all his devotion, for which he did everything. It is very important to have this thing in life because we often start seeing the benefits associated with it before starting the work.

Remember, work not with selfishness, but with complete sincerity.

Adapting to the situation

There are many such incidents in Ramayana, where Hanuman Ji has explained that it is not the solution to stand firm in front of the situation every time. He placed himself in a miniature form in front of Sita Ji because here he was in the role of a son, but as the destroyer, he became Kaal for the demons. Using your power in two different ways at the same place can be learned from Hanuman Ji. When changing things, is not in our hands than understanding the situation and changing ourselves is the biggest solution to the problem.

Rest only after the goal is achieved

When Hanuman Ji was moving towards Lanka in search of Mata Sita, then Samudra requested Hanuman Ji to rest and asked the Mainak Mountain living inside him to let Hanuman Ji rest. Refusing to rest, Hanuman Ji, honouring the invitation, touched the Mainak Mountain and went ahead. From this point of Hanuman Ji, we get to learn that we should not stop until we achieve the goal.

Sometimes you have to give up to achieve the goal

While moving towards Lanka, Hanuman Ji was stopped in the middle of the way by a snake mother named Surasa who started insisting to eat him. Hanuman Ji explained a lot but she did not understand, even Hanuman Ji gave a promise, let the Lord come after doing the work of Shri Ram, then I will come and become your food myself, but did not listen to Sursa.

As soon as Sursa grew his body to eat Hanuman Ji, Hanuman Ji grew his body twice. Then Surasa enlarged her body, then Hanumanji understood that the matter is not about eating me, it is only about the ego. He immediately shortened himself in front of the elder form of Sursa and came out of her mouth. Sursa became very happy with this intellect of Hanuman Ji and paved the way for Lanka. We learn from this example of Hanuman Ji that where the matter is ego, not force, but intelligence should be used. To achieve the big goal, even if you have to bow down, you should do it.

Get the job done on time

When Hanuman Ji reached the gate of Lanka, there the demon named Lankaini stopped his way. Hanuman Ji was entering Lanka in a small form during the nighttime. The situation here was such that it could be sneaked into Lanka only during the night. Time was short, so he did not argue with Lankini and hit her directly. Tankini immediately left the way for Hanuman Ji. From this, we learn that when we are very close to the destination and there is a paucity of time, it is better to use force as the circumstances demand.

Far from infatuation

Hanuman Ji, who came back safely after taking the news of Sita Ji, was praised everywhere, but he did not narrate any story of his might to Lord Rama. It was the nobility of Hanuman Ji, which was giving all the credit for his strength to the blessings of Lord Rama. Lord Rama was also convinced of Hanuman Ji's confessed personality with what Hanuman Ji said on asking about Lord Shri Ram's travelogue to Lanka.

Dedication

Hanuman Ji was an ideal celibate. Kamdev was also bowing before his celibacy. Hanuman Ji was indeed married, but he did this marriage on the orders of his guru Lord Suryadev to fulfil the essential condition of learning. This dimension of the personality of Hanuman Ji teaches us to 'surrender' to knowledge. Based on this, Hanuman Ji attained the eight siddhis and all the nine nights.

Lord Hanuman is a great role model for the younger generation. The character of Hanuman Ji is full of courage, knowledge and power. So let us all imbibe the life qualities of Lord Hanuman on this great festival of Hanuman Jayanti and make our country stronger.
