How To Overcome Depression And Anxiety: Few Practical Tips


  When a person has feeling of sadness, hopelessness, discouraged or disinterested in life for generally more than two weeks and that interferes with person's everyday  activities may be described as depression. It is classified as 
one of the most common mental health and mood disorder. 

  Depression, stress and anxiety are very common all across the world and the pandemic situation of Covid 19 has made it worse. Different people experience depression in different ways. It can interfere with  your daily work and influence your relationship. It can cause major health issues also.

 You know, we really don't care about our mental health through our lives. Sure, we really aware about the state  of our mental health and we try to cut off toxic people, but do we really try to make some strategies to reduce our pain?

Everything feels very difficult when you face depression and anxiety or stress. But there are something that you can do to deal with depression. 

We are going to focus on some practical tips to help someone in taking care of oneself  at the level of his or her mind, body and soul as part of his or her journey out of depression.

1 Stay in touch with your loved ones: 


     Be connected with your loved ones is a kind of therapy which should be used to overcome from any kind of anxiety, stress or depression. May be you are physically separated with your family or friends, it's very important to share support , talk about tough feelings, share a laugh, keep in touch with loved ones and help each other. So stay in touch with the help of phone calls , texts or social networks.

2: Move your body: 


      Regular exercise is a wonderful tool for overcoming depression or anxiety. Being depressed may feel you low in energy, which might you prevent being more active. Exercise can boost your mood if you feel depressed as exercise may trigger feel good chemicals in your brain and help eliminate symptoms of depression... so get moving. Exercise may reduce stress and help you secure a better night's sleep. 

3: Nutrition:



    Eating healthy food is essential for mental health and well being. Eating food which are rich in essential nutrients are key to keeping your brain in good working order. If you deprive your brain with these vital nutrients, it can't function properly. Including a huge variety of fruits. veggies, whole grains, low fat dairy foods and lean meat, poultry and fish ( for non- vegetarians ) into your diet can help you stay healthy and energized.

4:Find your purpose and worth:

  When we feel depressed, it's hard to think that someone loves us or cares about us. We think that we are unnoticed by everyone. We may even feel like we are a burden to everyone. But in actuality, we do have a value and meaning in life. When we begin to understand our talents, we'll begin to see our worth and value. Once we realize what we were created for, we are able to see our life impacting others and stop doubting on our value or questioning our worth.

   So pondering about what talents and abilities you have.Ask to your loved ones and friends and try to find out what it is that you were created to do.

5: Help others : 


    At times we are so engaged in our own problems and struggles that we forget that anyone else exits. We have become so self-centered now that it seems that the world has stopped when we have a rough day or a day full of disappointments. But If we turn our attention towards helping others, we make everyone feel better including ourselves. We not only feel relief from depression and anxiety, we can improve our relationships too. 

 6: Seek Professional help:

      If you are having continual bad mental health days or you think that you need a professional help to treat your bad mental health conditions please go ahead. It may be beneficial to tell your feelings with someone you trust.
